SuperstitionYep - two for the price of one today on ze blog... You can thank my desire to procrastinate the data project that is anxiously awaiting my attention for that. Things that Keep me awake...

Things that Keep me awake...I had a completely different idea for a post in mind when I selected this particular prompt... I was planning to talk about things that go bump in the night when the house should be silent... the way that the cat jumping on the roof of the house the night of the great tarantula scare freaked me completely out and kept me imagining a b-grade horror flick about giant tarantulas taking over and surrounding the house.... I wish...

I wish...I mentioned the other day that I'm a bit naive... (Captain Obvious reporting for duty) As such - yes.  I make wishes... a lot... on stars of course - shooting and the first star (and don't tell me I'm wishing on a planet) and birthday candles... and when the clock strikes 11:11... and on dandelions... and wish bones... and eyelashes... and... well, you get the idea.  I'm a wisher and dreamer and yes, so so childlike in this respect. Skeptical

SkepticalI don't consider myself a skeptical person. I'm far too trusting and naive for someone of my advancing years. Still believing in fairy tales and happy endings... still believing that the story lines in movies can actually happen to people like you and me... still believing that people are inherently good contrary to what the nightly news might depict. Even still, I think there are areas where skepticism rears its head. I struggle to believe, well anything, my ex tells me. {keep reading}

Scary MoviesYou may have noticed a bit of a theme this month - October always puts me in the mood for Halloween and all things scary... but when it comes to scary movies, we all get to have our own definition of scary right?  So like if someone is afraid of clowns, movies like IT or Poltergeist might top the list where as someone who is terrified of spiders would find that Arachnophobia would keep them up at night.
