So I’m driving to work the other day… and by driving I mean parked in morning traffic… when I look to my right and see what could quite possibly be the best invention ever. I’m not even sure it’s really an invention…
maybe that’s the wrong word… because it involves 2 things that already existed and combined them in a way that is either BRILLIANT or disgusting… and I’m not sure yet, but the idea is AMAZING….

That’s right folks. Someone has decided that 2 of my favorite things should be put together and I must admit, I’m intrigued. Wine Ice Cream… Who’da thunk it?
I know that it isn’t the BEST pic. I tried to zoom in enough on the cooler in the back so you could see what it was…but after all.. I WAS in traffic… and the iPhone camera isn’t exactly the speediest around…
So, anyway, headed over to the website for this fantastic looking treat – The company is Vino Treats btw – and discovered that their main distribution center is DANGEROUSLY close to me… especially in my current state… but it doesn’t say where these are being sold… which I thought was odd… maybe they aren’t available in stores yet? They list decadant flavors like Cherry Merlot, Chocolate Cabernet and Peach White Zinfandel, so needless to say, my interest is peaked…
Maybe this will be the next great thing to hit local store shelves and you’ve heard it here first folks. For now, I’ll just have to keep making those messy Wine Floats…
Disclaimer – no wine was harmed in the writing of this post. Also, I was totally kidding about wine floats I don’t think they are messy at all… AND – no one from Vino Treats offered me anything for the awesome publicity they are receiving; however, I wouldn’t be opposed to that … you know, if they offered.

I am the owner of Vino Treats Distributing out of Belton, TX. I am the Texas distributor for Mercer’s Wine Ice Cream. The manufacturer is Mercer’s Dairy in upstate New York. We are waiting for final label approvals from the TABC before I can distribute to TABC wine permitted retailers and other wholesalers. I am hopeful this will be completed this week. Once I start distributing, I will add a page to my website that will list locations.
I am hapy that you are excited about this new product in Texas. The Wine Ice Cream is incredible and very addictive!
