Today I choose…

Because when we spend too much time lamenting on the things we’ve lost – friendships, relationships, jobs… we tend to lose sight of all that we do have.

We should take a moment (or several if needed) to grieve for loss… even when to someone else the “loss” may seem trivial.  If it’s important to you, it’s important and you have a right to feel everything you do.. but there also comes a point to let go.

A point where you have to step forward and know that the plan is in order. Knowing that even when change is uncomfortable or seems as though it doesn’t make sense, change is necessary.

Without change, we don’t grow.  Without change we don’t learn.  Without change… we can never quite reach our fullest potential.

So today.  I choose to focus on what I have… not what is lost. And for that, I am thankful.
