Hi Everyone! Â I hope you all had a remarkable weekend and for those fathers out there and the moms who play both roles and the people who provide fatherly influence in the life of a child, I hope your Father’s day was a day of appreciation for all that you do.
This week felt – Solid. Â That’s really the best way to describe it. Â Nothing terribly exciting… nothing bad… just solid.
As such, I have very little to report… until I saw this week’s Mamavationâ„¢ Monday Prompt… (and the chance to win a Yoga Mat from Joggermom!  I swear this is MY Favorite Yoga mat and I wouldn’t mind having one for the Hubs!)
Please BRAG. What accomplishment have you done recently that brings a smile to your face?
Ahhh… now THAT’S something I can do 🙂
We have a sayin’ here in Texas…
So, here are my brags of the week 🙂
(1) I started doing the workouts designed by @Gruntstyle on Tuesday and followed the prescribed plan without exception. Â That is BRAGWORTHY! Â The official challenge starts July 11th, but I needed something to re-invigorate me. Â I had gotten complacent…. and holy cow has this workout done the trick. Â I can’t name a single body part that isn’t feeling the burn and saying thank you in it’s own special way. Â I know some others are doing the workouts too and if you aren’t bragging about it, YOU SHOULD!
(2) I’m down another 1/2 a lb… at first I was disappointed about this… I know a loss is a loss and it’s better than a gain and all that jazz, but I’d sure like to drop some REAL BIG numbers… I see some of my counterparts in the George Foreman Knockout the Fat Weight Loss Challenge really hitting home runs and losing 2-4 lbs a week so my little 1/2 a lb seems so trivial… and then I remind myself that slow and steady wins the race… and this isn’t a race anyway… this is a journey… my journey… and I will gladly say forever goodbyes to each and every ounce I shed  I also FINALLY figured out my scale!  like how to program it so it shows me my BMI 🙂  I guess that’s a little brag-worthy, no? Currently my BMI is 35.8 in case you can’t see it off the reflection… I’m headed towards a healthy BMI of 24.9… so I still have a ways to go, but I’m getting there slowly but surely.
(3) My son competed in his 5th (!!!!!) Jr. Varsity Triathlon this past Sunday. Â I know it’s not something I’ve accomplished, but I couldn’t be prouder of him and I knew you girls would want to share in my excitement. Â He’s amazing and my inspiration to get fit and healthy.
For his age group, He did:
150 meter Swim    6 mile Bike   2K Run
And completed all 3 in 1:07. Â His swim technique was beautiful, he hit his stride in the bike, and when most of the kids walked the majority of the running portion, he jogged the whole time. Â (I jogged a couple stretches with him to keep him going and cheer him on)
In short – HE. WAS. AMAZING.
Another thing I just realized…. when you take the time to write down your brags, things seem a lot better… hmmmm. maybe that was the point of this, because as I’I’m not smiling 🙂
Also… While we are here, Let me remind you that 2 winners will be selected to win a case of Chobani Greek Yogurt so if you haven’t entered yet, What are you waiting for?
Have a great week everyone! Â Make it Brag-worthy!
This post is sponsored by Joggermom and I’m writing this to be entered into a yoga mat giveaway hosted by Mamavation .
