#mamavation Monday – George Foreman Knock out the fat weight loss challenge – Week 8

This whole holiday weekend has me WAY off… I mean I know it’s Monday, but I forgot it was Monday… know what I mean?

This is a busy time for me – my boys are up in Colorado spending quality time with the grandparents and I’m super busy myself!  17 – the number of times I’ve talked to my mother in the last 3 days. ’nuff said

As a busy mom, we need quick, fast meals that leave all my boys satisfied.  That used to mean “fast food” but, with the George Foreman Grill, that now means REAL food – fast.  Check out the video below to see what I mean!

Delish! Fast! HEALTHY! a perfect solution on a busy night 🙂

I opted to serve them on the Ozery One Bun and my kiddos gobbled them UP!  As you can see here, also included a serving of Sweet potato fries – sprinkled with cumin… I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!

Seriously, cooking with the George Foreman grill means faster, healthier cooking that doesn’t heat up my kitchen .  When it’s 100 degrees outside, that is a serious win in my book.

As of this week, I’m down another lb!  HEY LORI – I LOST A LB!

In other news – the finalists have been selected for Mamavation Mom Boot Camp – Campaign 9!  Good luck ladies and don’t forget – everyone who has applied is a winner in my book because you’ve made the decision to change your life!  Lean on your resources and don’t feel like you have to go at it alone! We are ALL here for you!

And, as if perfect timing, this week’s blogging carnival is sponsored by Eco Foil Pans... which we actually bought this weekend at the store!  We are doing a lot of grilling this weekend – and keeping things light with fresh fruit instead of heavier potato salads.

Don’t get me wrong – there’s lots of heavier fare around – hot dogs, hamburgers, brisket – my mother-in-law is having 70 people over!!!  BUT! just because it is around, doesn’t mean I have to eat it.  And when she asked me to bring a desert, I knew EXACTLY what I was going to make! the perfect summer “cake” – Angel food cake with fresh blueberries and strawberries!  Patriotic and healthy. 🙂

I guess my point is that with every action, ask yourself – am I walking towards my goals or away from them?  Am I leading by example for my family?  That helps me to stay healthy.

I hope you all have a VERY happy and healthy 4th of July!

This post is sponsored by Eco Foil Pans and I’m writing this to be entered into a EatSmart Precision Pro Digital Kitchen Scale giveaway hosted byMamavation.  Additionally, I am one of 10 bloggers selected to take part in theGeorge Foreman Knockout The Fat Weight Loss Challenge.  As a participant, I received a George Foreman grill and will be compensated at the end of this challenge.  Even still, the opinions here are 100% my own and are not modified or influenced by anyone else.
