This is going ot be a short post – because I have about a million and four things going on right now. (shocking… I know!)
Lot’s of changes at work with the new job starting in a few weeks and trying to tie up loose ends on the job I’m doing now. Trying to figure out what I’ll still be doing and what to pass off… it’s a balance.
I had a great weekend – Friday night dinner with my folks on the sailboat where the kids spent the night to go sailing with my dad the next day. I went to a beautiful service for a dear friend and former teacher who lost her battle with the big “C” and is now Dancing with the creator. The service was an amazing testament to her life with standing room only at the church. It was also an opportunity to catch up with old friends from long ago. We all commented that it wasn’t the ideal circumstance for a reunion of sorts, but that we were glad for the opportunity. Sunday was a Lazy day … for me… the boys were outside playing on the trampoline and with the tetherball in the yard (why don’t they have those in school anymore?) making up their own games and rules, but not fighting and not plugged in, so that’s a HUGE win in my book.
There are some AMAZING giveaways and opportunities through Bookieboo & Mamavation right now – thought I’d offer a quick list so you don’t miss out on anything 🙂
Whew! there’s a LOT going on.
Also, if my math is correct, this is the start of the “dreaded Week three” for the Mamavation Mom Campaign. This is the week where you MAY start feeling negatively about yourself, the campaign, even *gasp* Leah and your mentors… Trust me, it is normal and it passes. Keep plugging along and everything will be OK!
As for me,  I finally found the time to create my very own Facebook Landing page thanks to Rachel L’s FANTASMO Tutorial! if you want your VERY OWN – check it out, but first, go ahead and “like” me on Facebook since you LOVE me here 🙂
OH! and one more thing – BOOYAH!
HEY LORI! I Lost 2 LBS! WOOT!
That’s all she wrote folks! Make it a GREAT day 🙂
Congrats on the loss! Have a great week!
Look at you! Congrats on the 2 lbs and the boys playing in the yard. I love sending the kids out to the yard to play. (I don’t like that I normally end up cleaning while they are out there but that is another issue I am sure!=P)
I know what you mean about funerals not being the best circumstances for reunions, but it’s better to reconnect than not at all, especially if those relationships were meaningful. Glad you had some time to chill this weekend too – you definitely deserve that! And way to go on the weight loss this week. You rock, Shelley!
Great job on the 2 pounds!!! Have a great week!
look at your pretty feet, I mean look at your pretty feet on that pretty scale that says HELLO 2 LBS!!!! I am so proud of you!!!! Big big hugs!
2 lbs – yay!! You rock, woman! I’m so jealous of lazy days… I’m a stay at home mom, but I would love to have a lazy day, lol!
You mean I might hate you this week? I’ll have to pencil that in….Friday is good for me. I’ve got about 20 minutes around 3pm my time, if I’m not curled in the fetal position after the organizers gut me and throw all of my possessions away on Thursday.
<3 !!
