Today’s the last day to vote for the next Mamavation Mom, and Campaign 10 is ALLLLLL about couples. So this time, it’s not just the Mom’s involved, Dads are on board too! So once again, I’ve opened up my blog to the finalists so that you can decide who you want to see as the NEXT Mamavation Mom Couple! I hope you’ll take some time to get to know the girls and their significant others as you decide who is ready to take their journey to a healthy life to the next step. Last week, I let Rachel share her story and giveaway with you, introduced you to Kelly and her husband JD, and while it’s late in the game, today I’d like to introduce you to Megan and her husband.
I met Megan last year but it wasn’t until Fitcation ’11 that I REALLY met Megan. Here she was – UBER Pregnant, in tons of pain from back complications, and yet, her smile radiated and she participated in as many activities as she possibly could. She is a RockStar! After having the Sea Monkey, she attacked PT with a vengeance that makes those of us who HAVEN’T gone through back surgery feel like couch potatoes! She’s remarkable. She’s AMAZING and she’d love your vote to be the next Mamavation Mom… um couple.
When you are parents to four, sometimes it can be difficult to know if you are coming our just constantly going!
We’ve been given this wonderful opportunity to share a little bit about ourselves, thanks to Shelley. My plan is to be brief. (notice plan…not set in stone)
I knew I would marry @sdDAMman the moment I saw him, it only took us three years to both be single at the same time and me seducing him.
He is younger than me, but probably more mature. He joined the Air Force right after graduating from high school. I on the other hand continued on with preparing for medical school in college.
Before @sdDAMman left he asked me to marry him. He wrote a letter home telling his parents! I met them alone with the wedding invitation and giving them the details for the big day. Good times!
We planned our life to be Fast and Fun. I had been told I would never have kids and he didn’t want any. But, a quick stroll though an off limits uranium dumping site changed our lives for the better.
Fast forward 11 years, multiple babies, surgeries, allergies and 16 moves later. We are seizing this opportunity to work for the tools to get us back on track. We know it won’t be easy with my back fusion and his corn allergy, but we have big plans that require healthy living.
We will climb mountains!
Please vote for @mnmspecial and @sdDAMman
Thank you for all the support!
You can follow along on Megan’s journey over at MNMSpecial. I hope you’ll join me in supporting them as they try to lead healthier lives for themselves and their family.Don’t Forget to Cast your Vote for who you think the next Mamavation Mom should be.
