Fantastic Friday Finds – Sportline Products Review & Giveaway

And the Winner is:

Congrats Ellen!

The path to better health and fitness is one that many of us are travelling.  Along the way, we all need a little help… I mean we ALL do, right?  It’s not just me? Good.

For me, starting out as a self-proclaimed couch potato, I had no clue where to even begin to get exercise…or what kind to do… how much to do… how intense to workout to lose weight… I was overwhelmed.  So, at the sugesstion of the Mamavation crew and Leah (aka @bookieboo), I started walking.

And I got a pedometer

I mean walking is all great and good but without a goal, I felt like I wasn’t going anywhere.

And I started tracking my steps.  In the beginning, I’m embarrassed to say it was a good day if I got in more than 5000 steps in a day, but because I had a pedometer, I at least knew what I was starting with.  Slowly I started to increase my steps and now average between 10,000-12,000 per day.  MUCH BETTER…

and just like my children once did, I started to crawl…then walk… then run.  Yep, I said run. (albeit slowly)

and while my pedometer is still an invaluable tool, I was ready for an upgrade.  and THAT my loyal readers, is the purpose of this post.

May I introduce you to my newest friend: The Sportline Solo 960 Heart Rate Monitor.

I know it is early on in our relationship, but I think I’m already in love.  One thing I’m not afraid to admit is I am an immediate gratification person and with my heart rate monitor, seeing that I’m reaching my optimal heart rate is like hearing a “great job” just when I need it most.

Not only that, but it also tracks my steps, distance, and calories burned at the same time.  and it’s cute, which we all know is of the utmost importance.

If you are in the market for a heart rate monitor, I highly reccomend this one.  Plus – check out the added features:

  • 3 Beat Speed Sensor
  • Patented One-Touch Technology
  • ECG Accurate Heart-Rate Reading
  • No Chest-Belt Required
  • Performs even in motion

Yep – Perfection.

AND because I want to introduce you to the quality that Sportline offers (and want to get you off the couch), I’m giving you a chance to take them for a test drive. (err… test walk?) by offering you the chance to win a Sportline Qlip Pedometer!

  8. I actually would most like to also get a sportsline Solo heart rate watch- not the one with the chest bands but one like the one you featured. I have a couple of pedometers (cheap) but they serve the purpose. My problem now is I dont know if I am hitting a target heart rate or where it should be anymore!
