Dreamworks – the Help at home…

So, if you read my last post, you know that Dreamworks movie, the Help opens today… but maybe just going to a movie isn’t your cup of tea… (pun intended)

Maybe, you’d rather settle in with the book and relish in some quality peace and quiet. I love those days when I can curl up with a good book and a nice cup of tea – hot or cold depending on the outside temperature – and I have to say that I have discovered a perfect pairing to go with the book, the Help…

I have had a long standing love affair with Republic of Tea – I’m a HUGE fan and keep a minimum of 5 varieties on my desk at work.

Imagine my utter JOY when I received their newest flavor inspired by the movie the Help at the screening I attended last weekend. It was honestly all I could do to wait until I got home to crack the seal and make a cup.

This newest flavor – Caramel Cake Black Tea is another hit in my book – mostly because it tastes just as delicious hot or iced and in August… in Texas… iced is most definitely appreciated.

THE HELP TEA Caramel Cake Black
Tea is inspired by Aibileen’s best friend Minny’s famous caramel cake. It is packaged in a recyclable,
collector’s tin with a label featuring art from the film.

This tea has a subtle flavor that is fantastic, needs no sugar, and can I just say that I may or may not buy these teas for the tins.

Maybe though, you are looking for something a bit more social… Perhaps a Book Club gathering complete with beverages and treats. After the screening, we were treated to a sinful selection of treats from Snake Oil Cocktail Company and Campine Catering who did a remarkable job at capturing the movie in edible/ drinkable fair.

Use these yummilicious examples and I’m sure you will come up with party fair capturing the movie for your book club gathering or for a pre or post movie experience your guests won’t soon forget!

**Disclosure – I was a guest at a screening event for The Help during BlogHer and received a sample of tea from the Republic of Tea.  the opinions presented are strictly my own.**
