It’s gettting to be the time of year when after almost every commercial on one of the “family approved” channels we get I hear “Oh! That’s so cool mom! I want that”
Yeah… I have to hand it to advertisers though – GREAT job marketing to my kids. Luckily, I have no issue being the “mean mom” that says no to everything. I find it saves time… even if I might consider buying whatever it is that is “so cool”
That’s how I first heard about CuddleUppets– you know – CuddleUppets, the blankets that are puppets. You can play all day and sleep the night away.
Recognized by industry experts such as Dr. Toy, PTPA Media and Traveling Mom as a Top Travel Toy since the product launch in 2012, CuddleUppets are machine washable and cost less than twenty dollars, making them an affordable gift for the holidays and every day!
So, when I was provided with the opportunity to review one of these gems, I had to jump at the chance.
Upon it’s arrival, the youngest was stoked. (my word – not his) He said “OMG OMG OMG OMG mom! Thank you” about a million times so already, I’m loving the CuddleUppets… I mean what mom DOESN’T want their kid to be overwhelmingly excited and full of gratitude? Yeah, felt like Supermom for about 5 minutes.
Then, the newness wore off – the youngest had run off to his room – CuddleUppet in tow.
I snuck down to his room and hovered outside the door to eavesdrop listen to the boys for a bit – a skill that will come in handy as they continue to progress to teenager/alien ages- and had to stifle the giggles as he gushed about how soft the blanket part of the CuddleUppet is.
He’s right too – it’s super soft and comfortable. (even the cats like to lay on it)
CuddleUppets are available in eight varieties: Pink Poodle, Blue Elephant, Purple Monkey, Yellow Puppy, Brown Bear Green Crocodile and the newest additions Pink Ladybug and Magic Unicorn. Â I wasn’t given a selection to choose from but it’s as if they KNEW my kid! Â I mean he’s a monkey and he got a monkey and well, if I said they resembled each other, would that make me a bad mom? yes? Â Then I won’t say it…
One last note, the CuddleUppet is absolutely adored by the 10 year old… He’s slept with it every night since we got it… the 13 year old, couldn’t care less.  So, safe to say age-appropriate for those who haven’t quite hit the “I’m too cool for everything” age.
They are available online, in major retailers as well as on Amazon.
I received a CuddleUppet  through The Blogger Connection to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own and no additional compensation was received.
